First Look: Fenton's Dana Lorenz Debuts First Resort Collection

For her first-ever resort collection, Fenton jewelry designer Dana Lorenz was inspired by a necklace she created for her recent CFDA Swarovski award nomination.

For her first-ever resort collection, Fenton jewelry designer Dana Lorenz was inspired by a necklace she created for her recent CFDA Swarovski award nomination. “I wanted to explore the clash of traditional jewelry ideas with something nontraditional, like speaker wire,” said Lorenz, who used crystal, pearls, and the aforementioned speaker wire for the Swarovski project as well as her 25-piece resort lineup. “I see resort as a good time to do something different. It’ll be a good way for me to take risks and give the customer something newer and fresher." New and fresh styles for Fenton include thin cables tied into neat little bows, wrapped around oversize crystals, or made into tassels that drip from necklaces and earrings. See the entire resort collection from Fenton in the gallery below.

>> Mario Testino Thinks Kate Moss Is "A Freak," Anna Wintour Is "Shy" —At the recent opening for his new exhibition "Kate Who?" featuring 18 portraits of Kate Moss, Mario Testino opined about his frequent collaborator Moss: "Believe it or not, she is shy. I go to events with her and I am, like, what's the matter with you?' and she is, like, shaking, nervous. I'm, like: 'You're a freak, because I am not shy at all.'" Testino says the same goes for another fashion figure: "Anna Wintour, the editor-in-chief of American Vogue, is, you imagine, the most secure person, but she is shy, too. Often people mistake her shyness for coldness." [Telegraph UK]
