>> Giovanna Battaglia has a penchant for high heels — kitten heels even — and the occasional chic flat, but for the past two nights, she's popped up in London wearing none of the aforementioned. On her feet instead? A set of black Uggs. Apparently it's not a newfound style proclivity — she Tweeted a couple of days ago: "I broke my pinky toe! :-( So no more heels . . . for 10 days, but the most painful thing is that today I was forced to buy UGG."

Yves Saint Laurent Documentary L'Amour Fou, With Rare Footage, to Be Released Next Year

The film chronicles the Story of Saint Laurent and Pierre Berge all the way through Berge's decision to sell their multimillion dollar private art collection upon the designer's death, through rare archives and exclusive images — some of which can be seen here. Berge and Saint Laurent muses, Betty Catroux and Loulou de la Falaise, were all interviewed for the film — the trailer for which is above.

Karl Lagerfeld Confirmed for Macy's Capsule Collection
>> Macy's has confirmed yesterday's reports that Karl Lagerfeld is designing a one-off capsule collection for the retailer — to be sold in 250 Macy's stores and online next September.
“Karl Lagerfeld holds a unique place in the world of fashion, an icon who is the ultimate modernist,” said Terry J. Lundgren, Macy's chairman, president and CEO. “Through the decades, his style and vision have marked the history of design. It is a tremendous honor to bring his inimitable perspective to our fashion customer.”
The designer, who recently said he was planning a "masstige" collection to be sold primarily online, is still looking into launching something in the lower-priced arena. That line, which is separate from the Macy's collection, is still in progress and expected to be introduced for Fall 2011.
