>> Kristen McMenamy on Having "Fat Day[s]" —Kristen McMenamy has worked with the best, but much as Lara Stone recently said she's tired of being the "fat one," Kristen admits that she, too, finds faults with her body: "I have to say though, I like my body more than my face. I never liked my face, it was always not right. Sometimes it looks good in a picture. We’re all the same: I can have a fat month and I can feel totally horrible in my skinny jeans, and then the next month I can be four pounds less and I’ll feel great . . . I know people will hate me saying that – I’m a model – but the way you feel in your mind is the same. In your head it’s a fat day. And I look at people who are curvy and I am crazy with jealousy over them. The truth is that even I am fooled by magazines. I look at Heat or something like that and I think ‘they’re all so gorgeous, they all have perfect wardrobes, and perfect bodies and blah blah blah,’ and here I am a model! I still fall for it. I put down Heat and I hate my face. So if I can be fooled everyone can be fooled.” [LOVE]

Anna Dello Russo Treats Her Streetstyle "Like a Job"

>> Anna Dello Russo, stylist and fashion director-at-large at Vogue Nippon, credits The Sartorialist's Scott Schuman with giving her "another career" as a streetstyle star, she tells Swide.

>> Anna Dello Russo, stylist and fashion director-at-large at Vogue Nippon, credits The Sartorialist's Scott Schuman with giving her "another career" as a streetstyle star, she tells Swide. "Us lot were invisible; there was the model, the photographer and a whole team of people. When the camera turned to us it enabled us to start a new career. The styling work was the same, only done to myself. And so when the whole thing happened I was prepared, I knew what to do."

She says that capturing streetstyle is in many ways like staging a fashion magazine editorial. "The whole streetstyle thing these days is like a job, it's all planned and thought up in advance; it's not as though you just 'happen' to run into one another. Outfits are prepared in advance . . . I get ready like six months beforehand. I edit the clothes (about 90 outfits for each fashion week). I think of what would look good on camera . . . I just hope it doesn't end up making it lose its spontaneity and make it become fake."

>> Donatella Versace presented her latest Atelier Versace collection during Paris couture this week, all red carpet-ready gowns adorned with "chunks of Swarovski crystal, swags of fine silvery chains, and hologram discs to give a Paco Rabanne-esque edge," as Hamish Bowles reported.  But the behind-the-scenes situation at the company isn't quite as glamorous.Versace just announced that it will eliminate 350 of its 1,360 jobs, representing 26 percent of its workforce, worldwide starting in March and ending in June — part of a plan to return to profitability in 2011.Donatella is also launching a new collection — Versace Collection — under her creative direction, which will be priced 30 to 40 percent below the house's signature collection.  The Fall entree abides by the Versace codes of color, sexiness, prints, and glamour and includes 230 pieces, among them egg-shaped coats in oatmeal, cocktail dresses with lace and tulle insets, and degrade fitted jackets.

Miuccia Prada Channels Sixties Heiress for Miu Miu Pre-Fall 2010

If your favorite great auntie, who lived on the Upper East Side of Manhattan in the Sixties, opened up her closet and handed over a well-preserved collection of vintage fox fur jackets, plaid coat dresses with gold buttons and matching bottoms, and baby doll dresses with peter pan collars, you would not have to purchase a single item from Miuccia Prada's pre-fall collection for Miu Miu.

They will be replenished once a week for four weeks. “The [images] were originally only supposed to be posters we were going to send to editors and stores,” said Wang. “But I felt the energy was much more appropriate for something like guerrilla marketing than anything too proper or formal. Because T is really the core foundation of what Alexander Wang stands for, I thought it should be something that could be much more democratic.”
