Model, businesswoman, jewelry designer, and author Ivanka Trump has inked a licensing deal with Marc Fisher Footwear to create a namesake collection. According to WWD, she approached the brand while looking for a footwear partner and is currently "also exploring further licensing opportunities for apparel and accessories."

We can guess Trump will be appearing in her own ad campaigns when the line is released—as she does for her Ivanka Trump Collections line of fine jewelry. No word yet on timing or price points. Mark Fisher's current offerings fit into the contemporary accessory category.

Someone Other Than Lady Gaga Is Wearing Viktor & Rolf Spring 2010

Apphia Michael—a personal assistant and office manager at Wallpaper magazine—arrived at the Wallpaper-sponsored Design Awards in London last night wearing one of the hacked-up topiary dresses from Viktor & Rolf's spring 2010 runway. This isn't the first time an oversized dress from the same collection has hit the red carpet. (Katy Perry braved the MTV Europe Music Awards this year in a slightly less-cumbersome dress from the same season.)

Because it's not easy to attend events in a dress that could knock over your date with one wrong sudden turn, we say kudos to this sartorially adventurous PA.

Color dominated Nicolas Ghesquière's pre-fall showing for Balenciaga—sculpted pieces covered in vibrant, abstract landscape prints paired with opaque tights with sheer paneling in orange, green, red, and yellow. As bright hosiery is already becoming an important fall trend, you'll be pleased to know Balenciaga will be selling these for under $100 come summer. Also of considerable note, Ghesquière's sky-high patchwork platforms inspired by French architect and furniture designer Charlotte Perriand.

Dell'Acqua is taking advantage of the opportunity to start with a clean slate.  He told WWD: “I looked back at what I did in the past and decided to put the focus on wearable, every day clothes more than on eveningwear."

The first 80-piece collection, which spans dresses to knitwear to outerwear, will debut at the upcoming Fall 2010 Milan Fashion Week with a small runway show.

Jessica Biel

Anna Wintour Would Love to See Jessica Biel Play Designer's Muse

Jessica Biel is on the cover of February Vogue wearing Ralph Lauren's denim-heavy Great Recession collection.

Jessica Biel is on the cover of February Vogue wearing Ralph Lauren's denim-heavy Great Recession collection. Inside the actress mostly talks about how uncomfortable she is in makeup and on the red carpet, but it's Anna Wintour's letter from the editor that has us guessing she'll soon appear alongside American designers at fashion awards and in an ad campaign or two come fall.

"I think my Valentine's wish would be that she be embraced by and play a larger role in the fashion world," wrote Wintour. "She symbolized everything American fashion stands for: health, beauty, fitness, and grace. She'd make a great partner for any designer."

Take that as your marching orders, American designers. Vogue's February issue will be on newsstands January 26.

Fragrance

Maison Martin Margiela's First Fragrance Fittingly (Untitled)

Although Margiela left his Maison last December, he apparently had been personally involved with every aspect of creating the house's first fragrance—from the juice itself, to the bottle and upcoming advertising campaign.

Although Margiela left his Maison last December, he apparently had been personally involved with every aspect of creating the house's first fragrance—from the juice itself, to the bottle and upcoming advertising campaign.

The fragrance, a "woody green floral" with notes of incense, bitter orange, jasmine, and cedar, is held in a Baron & Baron co-designed green-tinted bottle which appropriately has the effect of being dipped in white paint. Paris' Collette will have the first batch on January 25, and those of you in the U.S. will have to wait until it hits Margiela stores in March.

We're guessing there's also a hint of patchouli oil in there somewhere, as Margiela's models were often doused with the stuff before hitting the runway.
