H&M's upcoming Divided Exclusive collection, and now their Jimmy Choo collaboration, might be stealing the spotlight but their regular Fall 2009 range is trè chic. Here's a peak at the look book, which artfully styles Divided Exclusive and regular H&M pieces together. With the menswear shows starting next week and the Spring 2010 season looming, we think it might be time to actually start thinking about buying fall clothing.

A collarless jacket can turn even the most daring cocktail dress into a fit-for-the-office masterpiece. When Chloe showed off a collarless jacket as part of Pre-Fall 2009, we nearly fell off of our swivel chair in excitement. Though that particular jacket hasn't delivered yet, other designer options are already available. Our favorites, above.
Salvatore Ferragamo creative director Cristina Ortiz has not exactly been well received since she started at the company in 2008. Not unlike the criticism that falls on Frida Giannini's shoulders, Ortiz has been criticized for making expensive clothing look "trashy". Her Fall 2009 collection, however, was a step forward for the designer--it was much more sophisticated in comparison. Her most recent effort, Resort 2010, took inspiration from fifties couture and seems also to be headed in the right direction. Let's hope she keeps it up.
