by coutortureThe Fall 2009 collection infuses both the celebrated romance and edge known to Binetti- precious pearls, sterling silver and natural wood adorn silk prints, macramé and hand-painted ‘evil eye’ print motifs. Sharp, sexy silhouettes meet classic suiting resulting in a contemporary staple, and eveningwear is amped up by flowing silhouettes that create a pendulum-like effect. In effect, the Binetti girl is both hippie & hipster, sophisticated & eclectic and unique & desirable.
While perusing Net-a-Porter this morning (work-related of course) we noticed a funny thing in the new arrivals section. Three very expensive, very pale frocks sold out before they even made it through the work week. Of all the different types of frocks out there, why these? Light as air, ornate to the point of distraction, more expensive than a half dozen Louboutins. All we can say is that news like this is as valuable as any fashion show review or trend report in town.
