Lyn Devon's understanding of cool, American sportswear has made her the recipient of a Ecco Domani Fashion Foundation award this year.. Devon, a 23 year old New York native, got her started working for Zac Posen and Ralph Lauren before launching her own label in 2005. Since then the designer has been quickly gaining momentum with positive reviews from WWD and Style.com in addition to countless magazines credits. Her Spring 2009 collection featured practical sportswear-inspired pieces that balanced masculine and feminine silhouettes beautifully. Devon often refers to her range as 'no-nonsense' and we find that sentiment to be well-timed indeed. Check out her Spring 2009 look book right here

Talk about a DIY dream come true---these simple necklaces from the Spring 2009 shows are a great last-minute accessory for an outfit that just feels too plain. Reyes Spring 09 showed a Girl Scout-like look while Givenchy Spring 09 showed a more western-influenced style. Both are perfect in our eyes. Understated, tidy, affordable--these necklaces are a great way to show off Spring's elegant buttoned-up blouses.

Quote Of The Day: Cathy Horyn Takes On Wintour...Again

It’s embarrassing to see how Vogue deals with the recession--For the December issue, it sent a writer off to discover the “charms” of Wal-Mart and Target.
It’s embarrassing to see how Vogue deals with the recession--For the December issue, it sent a writer off to discover the “charms” of Wal-Mart and Target. A similar obtuseness permeates a fashion spread in the January issue, where a model and a child are portrayed on a weekend outing with a Superman figure. Is a ’50s suburban frock emblematic of the mortgage meltdown?
