>> ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL —It's been a few seasons since Marc Jacobs and Juergen Teller took the nature route for their ad collaborations, but here Raquel Zimmermann is in quite the pastoral setting. Judging by this first picture, the campaign seems to be taking off the edge that the darker Fall 2008 set and the subversive Spring 2008 set had. [Models.com]

Louis Vuitton's Sprouse Party Troika
>> Marc Jacobs may have had to cancel his legendary holiday party, but he made up for it last night by throwing not one, but three parties to celebrate the new Louis Vuitton-Stephen Sprouse redux collection. Marc — in his recent skirt and military boot uniform, plus a pair of neon pink and black Sprouse tights — hosted guests like Donna Karan, Erin Wasson, Chanel Iman — sporting some new bangs — and Arlenis Sosa Pena in the Louis Vuitton SoHo store for cocktails, then directed everyone down to Deitch Projects, which is currently hosting a Sprouse exhibit. To round out the night, an after-party at The Bowery Ballroom, featuring a performance by Sprouse muse Debbie Harry.

Fall 2009 Fashion Week Updates: Celine Up In The Air & More
The first full week after the holidays has proven to be quite interesting, today more Fall 09 Fashion Week news unfolds...
Yesterday, it was announced that Peter Som had split from his backers at Creative Design Studio. Today we discover that Som will still produce his Fall 09 collection although it will not be shown during New York Fashion Week.
The following designers are slated to show in the tents at Bryant Park this season; Adam by Adam Lippes, Monarchy, William Rast, Barbie, George Chakra, Tommy Hilfiger, Yigal Azrouel, Brian Reyes, and J. Mendel are among the fifty-odd designers on the official Bryant Park schedule.
The highly-anticipated Celine Fall 09 collection in which Pheobe Philo was thought to make her debut as Creative Director of the brand is now in question. Rumors circulate that Philo is clashing with new management prompting representatives at Celine to comment, "Pheobe's debut show will be in October".
Thirteen of Japan's most prominent up-and-coming designers will show in New York on January 27th. Normally, one might worry that everyone will be in Paris for the couture shows--but, as we know, that shouldn't be a problem this season.
>> INSIDER WIRE —The number of heirs to the PPR/Gucci Group fortune may have just expanded — it's rumored that CEO Francois-Henri Pinault, who fathered Salma Hayek's one-year-old daughter Valentina, may be the father of French cabinet member Rachida Dati's just-born baby, Zohra. The mother has thus far declined to name the father, but has been seen wearing copious amounts of designer clothes and would not deny that Pinault is the father. [The Sun]

Phoebe Philo Comeback at Celine in Jeopardy?
>> Phoebe Philo's return to fashion is highly anticipated, to say the least — Vogue already booked an editorial exclusive to feature her first Celine collection in their March 2009 issue — but it may not happen as planned. It's rumored that Phoebe is clashing with LVMH management — specifically Celine's new CEO, Marco Gobbetti, who moved over to the brand at the same time as the designer.
The original plan was to have Philo unveil her Fall 2009 collection during a presentation in Paris this March, followed by her runway debut in October, but now, the March presentation appears to be in question. According to a spokesperson, "Phoebe's debut show will be in October, as has always been planned and we are as excited as ever for Celine's partnership with Phoebe Philo." And as for the March collection, according to a "reliable industry source," a "team" is at work on the designs.

Spring Court USA Goes E-Commerce
There's nothing more sensible to us than when a classic brand goes e-commerce. In other words, if people have been wearing the same fashion item for over fifty years--chances are it will do well online. We don't know what makes Spring Court more of a fashion standby--the fact that every tennis player in France used to wear them or that John Lennon donned them on the cover of Abby Road. Regardless, we're happy to see these sneakers are now readily available to just about anyone. Today, Spring Court sneakers come in mens, womens, and kids sizes, and, in a variety of colors and fabrics. Check out their new e-shop right here.

ELuxury Shuttering, Major Markdowns Begin

With the news that LVMH-owned e-commerce site ELuxury is shuttering, we can only assume that the markdowns are going to be unreal. Right now for instance, customers can take an extra 30% off sale merchandise. Sure, this is happening everywhere, but take a look at the inventory and you'll notice a big difference. A piece of advice: search by size, or you'll be lost in the sixty-odd pages of goodies. Our picks, above.
