Keira Knightley

Hello! says they're all in town for a British Vogue cover shoot, but with this team, I'm thinking it's for the mother Vogue. [Hello!]

Sofia, Francis Ford Coppola Take a Louis Vuitton Journey

>>  Could this picture be the new Louis Vuitton Journeys ad with Sofia Coppola and Francis Ford Coppola?  There is no official confirmation, other than this photo has the coloring of an Annie Leibovitz shot, the right people framed in it, and the requisite Louis Vuitton monogram tote in plain view.  When asked why she agreed to be in the newest wave of the campaign, Sofia replied: "I liked the ad Annie shot with Keith Richards.

When asked why she agreed to be in the newest wave of the campaign, Sofia replied: "I liked the ad Annie shot with Keith Richards. It was flattering to be asked. Plus I've known Marc Jacobs since I was 18."

And that's that.

Fashion In 50 Seconds 6/6/08

The funeral of Yves Saint Laurent took place in Paris yesterday.
The funeral of Yves Saint Laurent took place in Paris yesterday. In addition to attendees of the funeral, hundreds of onlookers stood behind a police cordon to watch the mass. A giant television broadcasted various fashion shows from Yves Saint Laurent in addition to poems and speeches given by the couturier's friends and family. Hooray to the collective unconscious! Our post yesterday on the Marc Jacob's Resort collection and its resemblance to Yves Saint Laurent's Le Smoking suit was reiterated in this morning's WWD write up. Also on their radar are the Isaac Mizrahi (we'll have pictures from that later in the day) and Burberry Prorsum showings. Attention all menswear enthusiasts! Eponymous menswear boutique, Atelier New York, will be moving from Crosby Street over to Hudson Square. The boutique will also be running the new Rick Owens shop, at 250 Hudson Street (Atelier will be at 304 Hudson), so expect a newfound menswear spectrum across lower Manhattan. That is, from East to West, below 14th Street, it will transition as thus: Hipster (Lower East Side), Dandy (Nolita), Jock (Broadway), European Label Whore (Soho), and Fashion Warrior (Tribeca-aka Atelier and Rick Owens). Sooner or later, someone is going to be smart enough to run double decker tour buses for this kind of thing.
