Kate Moss

Mary-Kate Olsen

Speaking with Ashley was more like chatting with the president of a business .
Speaking with Ashley was more like chatting with the president of a business . . . we talked executive stuff: licensing, retail strategies and how the merchandising and branding business has changed since the Olsens launched Dualstar over 15 years ago. Our conversation lasted about 25 minutes before someone on her public relations team jumped in.

My conversation with Mary-Kate was shorter and a bit more frantic . . . She talked about going into Robert Lee Morris’ studio and playing dress-up with his couture pieces. I asked her how she felt about fame. “I don’t know how to answer that question.” It wasn’t long before someone cut in.

Rachel Comey

Rachel Comey Aster Heeled Suede Sandals

Lately we've been really jiving on the concept of 'day heels'.

Lately we've been really jiving on the concept of 'day heels'. We've recently kicked all of our flats to the curb (well, one part of this team has done so) in favor of the three or so pairs of moderately high sandals we've collected over the past few seasons (one pair by Devotte that has become a straight up staple). It's really the best of both worlds. Your legs look leaner and longer and you can still ride a bike if you have to (or dance, or walk!). That said, these Rachel Comey Aster Heeled Suede Sandals are more than 'on our radar', we're straight up dreaming about them. When a certain boyfriend asks us 'what we're thinking about', we bite our tongue at the prospect of telling him we're thinking of the Asters. Sorry, sweetheart. The shoes come first. Not only are these the perfect example of a comfortable day heel that will take you twenty pain-free blocks if necessary, but their bright red. Like the kind of red you wear with khaki and acid green and eggplant. The kind of red that make your tan little tootsies (complete with nude polish pedicure) look amazing. The kind of red that offsets your animal prints and messy updos, your high waisted denim and cotton shifts, like there's no tomorrow. Sigh, we think we know what we have to do during our lunch break this afternoon. If you're keen on day heels too, check out some of our other favorites, below.

Gisele Bundchen

Gisele Gets Snippy, Tells GQ She's Never Met Anyone With an Eating Disorder

>> I feel like I almost know Gisele Bundchen after reading her interview in the July 2008 issue of GQ — her words are much more telling than the accompanying group of underwear shots and take us through her many moods.

Incredulous Gisele: "People are unbelievable.  The other day a girl on my plane was pulling my hair.  She was like, 'I just want to check if—'  This is all my hair, by the way. I did not have extensions, let me tell you."

Schmoozy Gisele: "How does that [photo] look, the last one?"
French makeup guy: "I want a preent."
Gisele: "You want a print?"
FMG: "I want a preent."
Gisele: [to the reporter] "He is the best."
[They kiss.]
FMG: "No, she ees the best."
Gisele: [almost sadly] "No."
FMG: "She ees."
Gisele: "Please."
FMG: "Well, look at this peecture."
Gisele: "Do you like the last one?"
FMG: "It just confeerms what I’m saying—"
Gisele: "Oh, please."
FMG: "…you are to die for."

Snippy/Generous Gisele: [when asked if she's teaching boyfriend Tom Brady about worldly things]  "Your questions are funny. Look, all I’m saying—do you want some ChapStick?—is I’m not teaching anybody anything. Everybody learns from traveling. I think we all do. I really don’t know how to answer that question, I’m sorry."

Snippy Gisele, Take 2: [when told the GQ editor wanted to know if she helps Tom Brady with his modeling]  "Oh, my God. I want you to tell your editor that that’s a very stupid question. It’s private. And—nah."

Gisele, In Denial: [when asked about eating disorders]  "Look, I’ve never met anyone who has it.  I don’t think it’s something that people go around talking about."

Voila, Gisele in a nutshell.
