There's so much from the art world that's infiltrated into things, people have no idea . . . you turn on a Motorola phone, and the graphics are inspired by Takashi [Murakami]'s work, clearly. I don't think anybody who turns on the phone realizes that, but I think now, more than ever, visual art is really, really changing everything. And fashion is too, I mean, fashion is as popular as football . . . if not more popular.
Gisele Bundchen

>> THE MODELIZER —Thank you, Ipanema sandals!  The line, which reportedly earns Gisele Bundchen $6 million a year, probably helped her purchase the $50 million jet she just bought into.  It won't be ready until 2010, but the super-fast jet carries up to 19 people, and will help her get to all her photo shoots and promotional opportunities, right on schedule.

Women's Wear Daily

WWD.com: Going Boom or Bust on August 4

>> Come August 4, Women's Wear Daily is catching up to Internet speed.  Instead of posting all the day's articles once nightly on newspaper schedule as they do now — with only breaking stories posted off-schedule — WWD.com will become a more dynamic, 24/7 "up-to-the-minute" information source.  The site is getting a total revamp, with a more interactive interface, slideshow and video features, and what looks to be a new, and hopefully improved, search function.  There will even be a blog!  Women's Wear Daily — they're just like us.

D&G

Coutorture Loves A Cougar

Maybe it's Naeem Khan's Resort collection or our preference for maturity at all costs, whatever the case may be, a ferociousness has been taking Coutorture by storm.
Maybe it's Naeem Khan's Resort collection or our preference for maturity at all costs, whatever the case may be, a ferociousness has been taking Coutorture by storm. As we were making our daily rounds of what's on sale at Net-a-Porter, we noticed this newly added D&G Tiger Print Shirt Dress. We must say, it's puuuurrrfect (sorry, couldn't resist). First off, it's D&G, much to the appeal of any woman with plastic nails from New York to Boca, and it's Tiger Printed (not cheetah, nor zebra) so you know, pair it with self-tanned legs, these shoes, and a martini, and you're a fashion woman to be reckoned with. More animal prints below, obviously all by Dolce & Gabbana. All joking aside, we're really into animal prints, especially when styled with oddities like acid green sandals, orange nails, or washed out nude lipstick.
Vogue Paris
