Yesterday we wrote about the red shoes we saw this Spring 09, cropping up in the Behnaz Sarafpour, Phillip Lim, Preen, Marc Jacobs, and Proenza Schouler shows, and today we feel the need to shop. Here are three examples that get our hearts racing. Just remember; the key is pairing these with light colors and easy silhouettes. A perfect example from the 3.1 Phillip Lim show at left.
Marc Jacobs had lacquered baubles, Alexander Wang went industrial bling, Burberry did wooden arm candy, Gianfranco Ferre showed off space age trinkets, Dries Van Noten went for the gold and Louis Vuitton layered it on. From New York to Milan to Paris big bold bangles are an exciting accessories trend sure to weigh down the arms of socialites everywhere come Spring 2009.
We think this round up from New York Fashion Week covers all the hairstyles a woman could ask for; thanks to Proenza Schouler, Cynthia Rowley, Marchesa, and 3.1 Phillip Lim. Rowley showed a slicked back and wrapped ponytail, left wispy at the ends. The hair looked like a mane of sorts and was tough in order to balance out the pretty dresses. Proenza Schouler took a lesson from Giorgio Armani Haute Couture and pulled off the one-sided style which is chic, bushed to utter softness, and easy for anyone to wear. Marchesa's Georgina Chapman dressed down her formal frocks with a wispy, bed-head updo. This hairstyle says 'fresh face' all over it. Finally, Phillip Lim chose a high positioned side bun; a style that has grown in popularity over the last year. Although in real life your hair might not be so flawless, the look is sweet and surprisingly high fashion when done at home. We're pretty sure these four styles cover all your Spring 09 needs. After all, the Paris styles are not quite as street-friendly.
Proving that its always fashion week somewhere we have runway news from all corners of the world as we ponder the inevitable question of who buys all these clothes.
But before we get to the question of wordly fashion weeks our first stop is outer space as the spector of fashion and space tourism rears its perfectly coiffed yet protected against vacuum head.
