myspace is yourspace

>> Nylon magazine gave all of us internet junkies a present this month -- their June/July issue, the music and myspace issue, is totally online.  Every single page of it.  Yeah, I know, a myspace issue -- slightly lame.  But with as much money as I spend on magazines, I'm not going to complain about a free one once in a while.

Now I know you're hopping to get over there, so go.  And look out for our favorite myspace/Cobra Snake delinquent Cory Kennedy -- she got her own page.

good, better, best

>>  I feel like Goldilocks when looking at this editorial for the May 2006 Vogue Italia, shot by Steven Meisel, who else?  Because when looking at the pictures, Heather Bratton's are okay, Coco Rocha's are better, but this one picture of Daiane Conterato, in her Vogue Italia debut, is by far the best.  The fuschia tint added to her gamine/film noir makeup is awesome.  Not to mention, what a great Chanel hat.  Very striking.  And the name of the editorial gave me a laugh -- "No esta noche, darling" -- not tonight, darling.

fashion takes the stage

>>  Only a theatre production so ingrained in fashion would include a Chanel runway sample and Prada pumps as props.  Mariacarla Boscono and Margherita Missoni starred in an off-off-Broadway production of Jean Genet's The Maids on Saturday.  I knew Margherita had actress ambitions, what with her studying at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, but Mariacarla, too?  Or maybe she just liked wearing a stringy black wig, crawling around on all fours, and whipping Margherita with a belt (all of which she did for the production).

The best news yet, however:  Mariacarla's promise.  "For couture, I am doing something different with my hair.  You will see -- it will be a complete transformation!"  Can't wait.
