retail therapy doesn't work for everyone, apparently

>> I feel like this should be old news, as it seems like it's happened so many times before (twice), but it's not. It just happened this morning. Naomi Campbell was arrested for striking a woman in the head with an object that she allegedly threw. Yikes. What happened to those anger management classes? UPDATE: The treacherous object? A crystal-encrusted BlackBerry. The victimized woman? Naomi's housekeeper. Why? Naomi accused the housekeeper of stealing a pair of her jeans. More details here. There's even a part where Naomi wears a white fur poncho. Why? The reason's pretty funny. You'll have to go read.

TIME recently did an article, however, on how handbag designers try to divine the whims of consumers, hoping to make the next Murakami bag, which I found to be pretty enlightening.

>> Des bottines en plastique -- it sounds so much nicer in French than the English. Never did I think I would want plastic boots, but I saw these in the March 2006 Vogue Paris, and I like how you can see the bright colored socks through them. Very funky. I like it.
