UPDATE: The treacherous object? A crystal-encrusted BlackBerry. The victimized woman? Naomi's housekeeper. Why? Naomi accused the housekeeper of stealing a pair of her jeans. More details here. TIME recently did an article, however, on how handbag designers try to divine the whims of consumers, hoping to make the next Murakami bag, which I found to be pretty enlightening.
