row row row over to barney's for me?

>> They've been very hush-hush about their new line The Row -- a very good marketing technique indeed, because it has made me all the more curious about it.  But Mary Kate and Ashley finally let slip this morning on the Today show that the collection is exclusive to Barney's and should be on the floor now.  They also apparently have a contemporary line in the works.  This all begs the question:  anyone feel like taking a field trip over to Barney's for a photo session?  I won't be in NYC for a while, but I'm dying to see the line -- I mean, they're using couture techniques on a t-shirt, for crying out loud.

>> If it wasn't for him, we might have had to look at Jessica Simpson in all the Miu Miu ads come spring.  But alas, he's too "Texas pageant hair" for Mert and Marcus.

>> It seems like Gap might finally be trying to catch up with H&M, Topshop, and even Target -- by collaborating with some choice big-name designers.  Roland Mouret's line, which hits stores December 1, has been well-publicized, but here's something all you Gap-wearers out there haven't heard: you might own something designed by Phoebe Philo.  Say what?  That's right -- WWD is reporting that Philo has been "quietly consulting for Gap in Europe."  Although it was not confirmed that any of Philo's designs have yet landed in stores, doesn't it make you feel a little fuzzy inside to think that  you might be wearing something touched by the hands of the Phoebe Philo?  It just justifies the fact that you're still shopping at Gap.
