to edie, or not to edie

>>  First for a movie, then real life, and now for a Vogue spread as well -- Sienna Miller just can't get enough of her Edie Sedgwick character.  I mean, I've heard of method acting, but wow.  This is extreme.  And getting a bit...should I say it?...tired.  Before the actual movie even comes out.  Yikes.  In any case, Sienna needs to work on a more genuine-looking smile if she really wants to channel Edie.  And now, I introduce, the January Vogue editorial, for your viewing pleasure.

>>  There's just something about a head swimming in a sea of chartreuse that has a high upchuck factor.  Sienna looks sick.  And not the good kind of sick.

Stam_vogueNow this, Miss Wintour, is what a real January Vogue cover should look like.  Stam is absolutely breathtaking on Vogue Korea's cover -- the bee's knees, if you will.

>> I was watching Heathers yesterday, and it is an amazing example of 80's style -- a great source for style inspiration.  Granted, you wouldn't want to exactly copy any one outfit, but maybe a big flower brooch here, a tiered skirt there.  If not, the blazers with shoulder pads so big the girl looks like a linebacker are always fun to look at.  How very.  If you don't have access to the movie, screen caps are here.

trend alert!!!!!!! so trendy!!!

>>  Gemma Ward, Lily Cole, and Heather Marks have brought with them the "alien pixie" look, but Sasha Pivovarova takes it to a whole new level.  Check out those E.T.-like fingers she's showing off in the new Vogue Italia.  Damn her -- now we have to figure out some way to elongate our fingers.  Trip to the plastic surgeon, anyone?

>>  Nobody puts baby in a corner -- a little predictable on Mert & Marcus' end, but this is the best I've seen Drew looking a while.

ooo la la lohan

>>  We finally got Marc Jacobs to move away from using celebrities in his ad campaigns, but it looks like Kaiser Karl is picking up right where he left off -- first Selma Blair, and now... Lindsay Lohan?  Sorry, but she just doesn't really channel my idea of the Chanel woman -- Vanessa Paradis, Kate Moss, even Nicole Kidman, yes... but not Lindsay Lohan.  Not even if she has been hanging out with Kate.

au revoir, phoebe

>> Looks like it's a done deal.  Phoebe Philo won't divulge her status at Chloe, and neither will the Chloe spokespeople, but Phoebe's friends have no problem with being loose-lipped:  "It's a done deal," one said.  "She's quit." **source:  fwd
