Who says New York gets to have all the chic? While a healthy share of this week's best looks were photographed in the city that never sleeps, there was plenty of competition from the stylish sets in Boston, London, and Rome.
br>
Mario Testino's exhibit of photography at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts lured the likes of Erin Wasson, Gisele Bündchen, and Anna Wintour to Massachusetts. Meanwhile, Tim Walker's exhibit of photography drew Cara Delevingne and Erdem Moralioglu into Somerset House. Lauren Remington Platt and Byrdie Bell helped celebrate the opening of a new Max Mara store in Rome.
br>
Stateside, some of the brightest stars in film and television — like Emma Watson and Sarah Jessica Parker, at left — dressed up for the Elle Women in Hollywood Awards in Los Angeles. Tinseltown also played host to a party that Rachel Zoe hosted for Jockey.
br>
In New York, Bergdorf Goodman celebrated 111 years of being one of the city's landmarks with a party attended by industry stars like Prabal Gurung, Jason Wu, Lynn Yaeger, Linda Fargo, and Joseph Altuzarra. Michael Kors also hosted a party benefiting God's Love We Deliver. All the high-profile parties and charitable events in New York inspired some truly great looks — but so did an intimate dinner hosted by Roberto Cavalli.
Exclusive: Watch Petra Nemcova in James Franco's Walking After Midnight
Stuart Weitzman's new short film Walking After Midnight packs a lot of cool. It stars supermodel Petra Nemcova, was directed by James Franco, and was styled by Anya Ziourova — one of the most talented fashion editors working today.
br>
Ziourova told us that styling this video was "a piece of delicious cake," even if it was a minor challenge to create outfits that look good in a variety of settings. "You have to make sure that the clothes sit well from every angle, which isn't always the case in print," she said.
br>
As for Franco, he mostly sat back and let Ziourova do her job. "James didn't get involved much," she said. "He trusted letting me create looks."
br>
And from the way this video turned out, we'd say that was a good decision. Take a look at the episode from the film below and click through the gallery to see exclusive behind-the-scenes shots from the production. The first two vignettes are on Weitzman's Facebook page, and the fourth video will premiere online next Wednesday.

This Week's Best Dressed
Fashion Month may be over, but that doesn't mean there's any rest for the style set. In fact, the week was so filled with parties that it led some to comment that their calendars were just as jam-packed now as they had been a few weeks ago in Milan.
br>
In New York alone, there were multiple events that kept the crowd hopping up and down and all around town — and with each came ample opportunity for chicness. At Maje's Fall 2012 campaign party, host and campaign star Alexa Chung looked vibrant as she held court in a ruffled red top; DJ Alix Brown's electric blue jacket with leather sleeves was equally striking. Earlier that evening at the Vogue: The Editor's Eye book launch at Barneys — hosted by Hamish Bowles and Tonne Goodman — Carolyn Murphy, Erin O'Connor, and Hilary Rhoda were all in attendance, and each looked just as stunning as ever. Joseph Altuzarra and Zac Posen (in a self-customized A.P.C. coat and fedora) were also in present and plenty stylish.
br>
Not to be outdone, Chanel hosted not one, but two mega soirees this week as well. Each party brought a host of heavy hitters: Poppy Delevingne, Kristen McMenamy (left), Elle Fanning, Carine Roitfeld, Stella Tennant . . . and, of course, all were decked out in their black and white Chanel finest.
The Most Iconic, Dramatic, and Memorable Moments of Spring 2013
Well, that was fun: another Fashion Month has come and gone. Now that we've had time to regroup, it seems like this one was a lot more eventful than seasons past. Certainly a lot of the excitement had to do with the new arrivals at Dior and Saint Laurent, but those weren't the only happenings that caused a stir this month. From the critic who got into public spats with two high-profile designers to the most recognizable accessory of the season, we examine the reasons why the Spring 2013 collections will stick out in our minds for years to come.
International Style Stars: The Chicest of the Spring 2013 Streets
If there's one thing this past Fashion Month has taught us it's this: street style is here to stay. It's become as big a part of Fashion Week as the presentations, afterparties, and shows, and those swarms of photographers outside the venues only seem to be multiplying by the season. Of course, there are plenty of willing subjects. In Paris we witnessed a particularly curious phenomenon: established fashion folk and gussied-up newbies alike making multiple treks up and down the Tuileries path just to ensure that their pictures were sufficiently snapped. A prime example of Fashion Week peacocking? Yes. Are we complaining? No. In fact, we enjoy a stellar display of style just as much as anyone, and sometimes the circus outside the tent is just as interesting as the show itself.
br>
That said, there are certain people who manage to knock their show-attending ensembles out of the park repeatedly — and pretty authentically to boot. There's no doubt in our minds, for example, that Caroline Issa — with her well-appointed menswear looks and coolly chic power suits — actually wears these pieces every day; the same can be said for Yasmin Sewell, Giovanna Battaglia, and Julia Sarr-Jamois too. So, in honor of them and others of their stylish ilk, here it is: our rundown of the chicest ladies to hit the streets of the Spring 2013 Fashion Weeks.
L'Wren Scott Unveils Spring 2013 Collection on Instagram
L'Wren Scott had originally intended to show her Spring 2013 collection in New York, and then she rescheduled that show for Paris. But the collection found its way to the public through a different means than a runway spectacle: over the past few days, Scott has been showing the world her newest designs on Instagram.
br>
The looks here are classic Scott: elegant, feminine, and just a little bit over the top. There's an emphasis on dresses and skirts that fall just below the knee, and this season's stripes, lace embellishments, and sparkly finishes all make an appearance. Lots of plaid and floral prints made their way into the largely black, white, red, and deep blue collection, but our favorite pattern may be the jaunty zigzag that snaked its way down the front of a few dresses. It looks as modern as premiering one's designs with social media.

Exclusive: Salvatore Ferragamo's Fall 2012 Collection Stars in New Film
To showcase Massimiliano Giornetti's beautiful Russian-inspired Fall 2012 collection, Salvatore Ferragamo has created a short film featuring some of Russia's biggest style stars.
Miroslava Duma, Elena Perminova, and Anya Ziourova star in the one-minute clip, which shows them getting dressed in the collection for a night in New York City, with the Russian band Tesla Boy's song "Spirit of the Night" playing in the background. The trio then heads out to see the band's first performance in the United States, where they run into industry types like Anna Dello Russo and Hilary Rhoda.
All of the clothing captured in the film is available for purchase. A look at the stylish evening below.
Watch: Tom Ford Releases Spring 2013 Lookbook Video
Tom Ford has restricted the release of images of his last few women's collections for the past few seasons, but a video of his Spring 2013 collection went live today, mere weeks after it was presented in London.
br>
The video, shot against a stark white backdrop, extends the precious few images the designer released a few weeks ago into a look at the full collection. The offering matches the initial reviews: aggressive, strappy boots; scoop-back dresses with plenty of sex appeal; lush cocktail dresses; and pencil skirts that zip up the back are all well-highlighted in the video: The '60s feel of the collection is, too: all of the models wear beehive buns and the footage is set to a rambunctious drum solo.

Miu Miu Taps Modeling Powerhouses For Resort 2013 Campaign
Miu Miu tapped some of the biggest names in the business to pose for its Resort 2013 ad campaign, which Steven Meisel shot earlier this month on the first day of New York Fashion Week.
br>
Hilary Rhoda, Caroline Trentini, Jessica Stam, Karen Elson, Sung Hee Kim, Daphne Groeneveld, and Candice Swanepoel showed up for the shoot and donned colorful, floral-printed and slightly '60s Miu Miu Resort collection for the occasion. The setting for the shoot is just as colorful and decorative as the clothing and accessories themselves. A look at it all here in the gallery.
