All the Pieces From Duro Olowu's JCPenney Collaboration Are in Stores Now

In case you missed it, JCPenney's first designer collaboration with Nigerian-born talent Duro Olowu is on shelves all over the country. And while the pieces in it range in price from $10 to $90, the designer says he created it the same way he designs the clothing for his eponymous brand.

"I treated it like a collection," Olowu says of the offering, which features his signature mashup of riotous prints, wild colors, and fresh shapes applied to clothing, shoes, and accessories, as well as home goods, notebooks, and luggage. "All the details you normally find on my clothing, you have here," the designer explains, and, indeed, buttons and closures come emblazoned with the designer's logo, and bags and accessories were designed with the help of the designer's friends Iris Apfel and Bella Foster.

The Full Prabal Gurung For Target Lookbook Is Here (With Prices)

It's finally here: after months of anticipation, the full lookbook and prices for Prabal Gurung's collaboration with Target have arrived.

Gurung's collection of ready-to-wear, accessories, and shoes will be available in Target stores and on its website from Feb. 10 to March 23, and prices will run from $13 to $200. The most expensive piece is a light blue leather biker jacket, while a few pieces of jewelry round out the lowest price point. The offering features a number of floral pieces, and everything in it speaks to Gurung's modern and romantic aesthetic.

Speaking of romance, it's fitting that this collaboration would launch so close to Valentine's Day. Gurung said these clothes were made for falling in love.

"The collection is inspired by a girl's journey through the different stages of love and the clothes she wears during each milestone - from the first date to meeting the parents to the engagement," Gurung said.

Revealed: Nicola Formichetti's First Handbags for Mugler

Come February, Nicola Formichetti's first handbag offering for Mugler will finally make its way to stores.

"This is now my fourth collection as creative director of Mugler," Formichetti said. "I was interested in creating sculptured objects in 3D, a piece of the Mugler world that one can carry around."

The rigidly structured bags are aligned with the edgy futurism of Formichetti's Spring 2013 collection for the brand, combining metallic calfskin with snakeskin, embossed leather, and crocodile. Two of the bags even feature a 3D tortoiseshell print. Prices range from $1,050 for a leather clutch to $18,000 for a bag made from patent crocodile.

Stateside, the bags will be available at Barneys, Maxfield, Opening Ceremony, Patron of the New, and Joan Shepp stores next month. Shopbop, Moda Operandi, and Luisa via Roma will sell the bags on their websites.

Cushnie et Ochs Designed a Bra For Playboy

Proving that designer collaborations come in all shapes and sizes, Cushnie et Ochs has partnered with Playboy. Today, the duo will unveil a black leather bustier they created for the magazine at a party in Miami. The top will retail for $695 on Playboy's online store.

"Playboy is such a quintessential brand," said Carlie Cushnie. "They told us where they're heading and the sort of people they had been working with, like Jenne Lombardo and Neville Wakefield, and we thought we could do something really cool and edgy and special."

The company recently enlisted Lombardo, who works with MADE Fashion Week, and Wakefield, an art curator, as consultants. A look at one of the first projects to follow their involvement with the brand here in the gallery.

Comme des Hermès: Rei Kawakubo Redesigns Iconic Scarves

The latest designer partnership to make the news isn't a mass market effort. Instead, Rei Kawakubo has channeled what she calls an "immense respect for Hermès' tradition and artisanal know-how" into two capsule collections of carrés, the French company's iconic silk scarves.

"During this joint project, rather than being guided by the idea of the scarf as it is worn, I became interested instead in the beautiful 'artworks' that the designs on Hermès carrés represent, and I sought to change them by adding elements," Kawakubo said. "By combining them with abstract images, we have transformed the carré and created a unique object."

Both collections, one featuring black and white designs and one with colorful geometric patterns, will be available in February. The five black and white scarves will retail for €380 (or $493 at current exchange) at the Comme des Garcons stores in the Aoyama neighborhood of Tokyo, and in New York and Paris. Six color scarves will range from €380 to €1,600 (about $2,076) at the Dover Street Markets in London and Tokyo.

Kawakubo is noted for a number of high-profile collaborations with brands like H&M and Louis Vuitton, but an Hermès product partnership is harder to come by. Perhaps that's changing, though: news also broke today that Hermès is lending one of its scarf designs to the French postal service's annual Valentine's Day stamp collection.

Every Image From Maison Martin Margiela's H&M Capsule (With Prices!)

It's finally here: Maison Martin Margiela's full collection for H&M has been revealed, and the clothing and accessories are true to the avant-garde fashion house's signature style.

A representative for the house said that the clothing would mostly be reissued pieces from the Margiela archives, and these garments definitely embody the classic oversize silhouettes, deconstructed styling, and incorporation of found objects the house became famous for. But while prices for original Margiela pieces can reach thousands of dollars, prices for this collaboration run from $13 to $399.

Several pieces are fusions of more than one type of garment. One of the women's bottoms melds a skirt with trousers; elsewhere, halves of two different dresses are combined. The house also turned everything from key rings, locks of hair, and faceless watches into inventive accessories.

Photographs of the collection have slowly been released since August - with sneak peeks at the collection's ad campaign and lookbook - building up to its Nov. 15 release date. A look at all the pieces in the collection, plus their prices, here in the gallery.

Don't Blink: A Tiny Glimpse at More From Prabal Gurung's Target Capsule

Hot off the heels of Monday's announcement that Prabal Gurung will be Target's next designer collaborator comes this: a glossy new video offering the tiniest glimpse of more of the collection. There's a macro shot of a bright blue shoe, a peek at the sleeve of a seafoam green top, and a blink-and-you'll-miss-it close-up of an oversize crystal pendant.

The video also offers insight into why Gurung wanted to work with Target. He mentions the desire to offer what he does to a "wider audience," but he also says that ultimately it's all about love. "Whether it's having it, pining for it, losing it, wanting it - most of the collections I do have been inspired by love. If they can feel even a little bit of the love that I felt while I was designing this, I'll consider it a job well done."

Missoni and Converse Collaborate on One-of-a-Kind Shoes

Of the six seasons Missoni has been working with Converse, the two brands' newest partnership may have yielded their most exciting products yet. Twenty deadstock fabrics from the Missoni archives have been applied to Converse's iconic Pro Leather and Auckland Racer shoe designs, and will be sold at Colette in Paris starting this Friday, Sept. 28 - just in time for Paris Fashion Week. The unisex shoes are available in sizes 5 to 12, and will retail for €400 (about $520 at current exchange).

And if the inventive pairing of design and form didn't make this collaboration noteworthy enough, Converse enlisted artist Gary Card to create a special display for the shoes. A look at the products - and how they'll be displayed - here in the gallery.

Perfect Pairing: Lanvin Creates Macarons With Ladurée

Around the time editors and buyers alight on Paris Fashion Week, Lanvin will introduce a special box of bubblegum-flavored macarons at Ladurée.

Alber Elbaz himself created doodles for the box the confections will be sold in, which captures the playfulness of women of all ages enjoying the sweets.

Real women will have to wait until Sept. 25 to buy the multicolored confections in Paris. Ladurée's stores in New York, Great Britain, and Japan will start selling them on Sept. 28. The rest of the world will have to wait until Oct. 1 to savor the treats.
