brace yourself
>> I've been experiencing a personal revival of the 80's lately -- specifically in the way of suspenders. They were everywhere on the runway for spring, and they're great for a touch of adrogyny. They're surprisingly versatile -- they can be worn falling down, crisscrossed in the back, or even clipped to each other to make a belt a la Marc Jacobs. I love the skinny ones because they're not too overpoweringly masculine -- if you want to splurge, there's some great ones from Dior Homme, some for a good price at x20, or you could just get some elastic and suspender clasps from the fabric store and make them yourself (it's really easy). Lovely.
