It's been a particularly active year for fashion heists. In the latest one since this year's multimillion-dollar Cannes jewelry caper, CNN has reported that a couple made off with several luxury watches from the Audemars Piguet store on the Place Vendôme in Paris.

Police are still gathering information about this robbery, but there are plenty of other fashion thefts that still haven't been completely solved. Case in point: only a portion of the legendary raid at the Harry Winston store in Paris was ever found, and it doesn't appear that all of Marc Jacobs's stolen Spring 2012 samples were found.

You'll notice an array of varying textures in Francisco Costa's Pre-Fall 2014 collection for Calvin Klein. The designer wanted to impart a feeling of warmth, playfulness, and above all innocence, and he did that by using light shades of gray and pink. Cashmere, alpaca, and wool gave the offering its softness, and a few oversize wooden buttons injected a sense of whimsy into jackets that would have otherwise toed the line of this brand's minimalist bent.

There are a number of big changes coming to New York Fashion Week for the Fall 2014 shows, all of them designed to make the whole experience run more smoothly for pretty much everyone involved.

This morning, IMG's event production arm, which runs Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, announced that it will add to its current show spaces, offer a platform for designers who want to show their collections digitally, make it harder for people to crash shows, and even provide shuttle services between all of its various locations.

Why now? "It was becoming a zoo," said IMG executive Catherine Bennett in an interview with The Wall Street Journal. Bennett assures that the new changes, which are scheduled to be in place for the Fall 2014 shows, will make sure "all participants can maximize this key marketing moment during the first stop on the international fashion week calendar."

Nicolas Ghesquière has finally found a new home.

Nicolas Ghesquière has finally found a new home. A full year after leaving Balenciaga, he's been named artistic director of Louis Vuitton, replacing Marc Jacobs.

"Louis Vuitton has always incarnated for me the symbol of ultimate luxury, innovation, and exploration," Ghesquière said in a statement to WWD. "I am very honored of the mission that I am entrusted with and proud to join the history of this great maison. We share common values and a vision."

In early October, the house denied rumors that Ghesquière would take up the reins at the house, saying that no official decision had been made. Today, however, the official word is that the 42-year-old designer will bring "a modern creative vision to the house's women's collections, building on the values of refinement, savoir faire, and extreme quality."

Ghesquière had been the creative director of Balenciaga for 15 years before he left that house last November and was eventually replaced by Alexander Wang.

Jeremy Scott Named Creative Director of Moschino

Moschino, which celebrated its 30th anniversary during Milan Fashion Week, has just named Jeremy Scott its new creative director.

Moschino, which celebrated its 30th anniversary during Milan Fashion Week, has just named Jeremy Scott its new creative director. Rossella Jardini, who had served as creative director since 1994, is leaving the company. In addition to taking over for Jardini, Scott will continue to design his eponymous brand.

"It's one of the few houses that has humor, and it's the same thing for me," Scott said of the house in an interview with Style.com. "We share an obsession with poking fun at fashion. Whimsy, also."

Scott plans to spend the month of November at the brand's Milan headquarters, learning more about the house and looking through its archives. His first show for the brand will be presented during the Fall 2014 collections in February.

While Scott has worked primarily for himself since he started his brand in 1997, he has spent a little time in the Moschino offices.

"The ironic thing is, during my last year of college, when I was at Pratt, I interned for the Moschino press office, for Michelle Stein here in New York," Scott said. "Yeah, it's kind of a fairy-tale story. I was the intern, and now I'm running the company."

After an internal investigation, Barneys said that no one from its Madison Avenue flagship store had anything to do with the arrests of two black customers who are now suing the retailer and the NYPD for racial profiling.

After an internal investigation, Barneys said that no one from its Madison Avenue flagship store had anything to do with the arrests of two black customers who are now suing the retailer and the NYPD for racial profiling.

The store's CEO Mark Lee told WWD that the investigation found that "no one from Barneys New York raised an issue with the purchases, brought them to the attention of internal security, or reached out to the authorities." Lee did, however, reiterate that his company is sorry for what happened to the customers, Trayon Christian and Kayla Phillips, and said that "we offer our deepest sympathies to them both."

It's not the first time the store has apologized for the circumstances, and the investigation is one of a number of steps the store has taken to heal some of the damage the arrests have caused. Herein, a full explanation of the case, what caused it, and how the major players have responded.

Giorgio Armani's One Night Only celebration in New York on Thursday night featured a retrospective showing of some of the best work he's created for his couture collection Armani Privé. And if there's one thing to know about couture, it's that it's all about the details.

In that spirit, we're taking a look at some of the gorgeous detail shots we saw at last night's show and all of the beading, sequins, floral embroidery, and shirring that made it possible. Get up close and personal with some of Armani's best work, here in the gallery.

The feathers in this hat were beautiful, but so too was the beadwork on the dress this model brought down the runway. The floral embroidery on this dress was just one of the things that made it a special look. If the shocking green color of this gown wasn't enough, the texture of it made it even more beautiful. The beading on this dress gave it enough texture to prevent it from getting washed out by all the lights on the runway. Without this slash of red, this look might have otherwise been a run-of-the-mill gray dress. The sequins and jewels on this veil were just as intricate as some of the dresses. You know a dress is good when it looks just as perfect from the back as it does from the front.
