Over the past few weeks, we've spotted denim-on-denim on a handful of Fashion Week street style regulars — Lauren Santo Domingo even sported two separate versions of the look at recent shows. While the record-breaking high temperatures in Europe have no doubt made this breezy style work well now, there's no reason the look can't be worn straight through Winter with the addition of some key styling pieces. >> Smoking slippers are the new ballet flats. Retailers are reporting that the loafers — in all colors, price points, and styles — are in high demand this season. Not surprising that we've been spotting the Hugh Hefner-style loungers all throughout the fashion weeks. Street style favorite Giovanna Battaglia was spotted wearing a multicolored fleur de lis pair in New York (top left) as well as a plain black set in Milan while T magazine's Jane Herman trotted to the New York shows in tasseled patent ones (bottom left). And no wonder. This flat is super versatile — and it hits just the right note for Fall: a little preppy, a little garconne, and super comfortable to boot. >> American Zara fans rejoice; now there's a whole new way to get your affordable-fashion fix. Like the retailer on Facebook now, and at 6 pm tonight you'll be able to shop the website before anyone else.

Otherwise, starting tomorrow, Sept. 7, the entire range of Zara goodies — including men's, women's, and children's — will be available to buy on the brand's website, Zara.com. >> Roarke New York's intricately beaded scarf-necklace hybrids are the perfect Fall accessory: a little glam, super versatile, and they just happen to fit perfectly with this season's neck-centric mood.

"Our pieces are mainly produced in India, where the attention to detail is like no other," says Laetitia Stanfield, one half of the Roarke duo that also includes designer Mignonne Gavigan. The pair met and founded the line in 2009, after doing stints at Bergdorf Goodman (Stanfield) and Marc Jacobs (Gavigan). The Roarke girls also both count Paris as a former home, citing the city as a huge source of inspiration. "Our travels play a large part in the designs, as does the idea of mixing old with new. We find a lot of inspiration from vintage and flea markets, and rework the details to give them the Roarke touch."

Ranging from around $100 to $725, the line not only features the brand's signature bib necklaces, but also a selection of other accessories — including bracelets, headpieces, and coming later this Fall, a range of high-end handbags. "We are just putting our finishing touches on it," confirms Stanfield.
