Vogue Documentary to Compete at Sundance in January

>> We've had a flood of good, solid fashion documentaries in the last couple of years — Valentino: The Last Emperor, Marc Jacobs & Louis Vuitton, Lagerfeld Confidential — and it just keeps getting better.  R.J. Cutler's Vogue documentary that follows the production of the magazine's September 2007 issue for nine months, and has been in the works since 2006, is finally ready to make its debut.

The formerly "Untitled Anna Wintour Documentary" now has a title — The September Issue — and will be competing at The Sundance Film Festival next January in the US Documentary category.  Cross your fingers for a win — or at least positive reviews — the crew was granted "unprecedented access" and we want someone to pick up the film for distribution.  Plus, Anna is hoping that it provides a better view of her than The Devil Wears Prada — so definitely a must-see.
