The colorful bangles DVF used are actually recycled telephone wire made in South Africa. They are for sale at http://www.giftswithhumanity.com/Large-Colorful-Bracelet-p/sjwbl_variety....

This is consistent with DVF's interest in using fashion to improve the lives of others.
