Polka dots, as we've learned from Commes des Garcon and our parents wardrobes circa 1986, are best when super-sized. This Spring 2009 designers made their polka dots extra-large and, along with other trends like bloomers and crop tops, they made for an optimistic statement indeed. Fashion editors might be wearing black right now but this Spring 09, it looks like all that will change.
