Wow, Anna was no slouch in the fashion editing department, was she? Some of these spreads are still as fresh and relevant today. It would have been nice to have her style spreads @ US Vogue a la Roitfeld @ Paris Vogue. While on the subject, it would be nice to see US Vogue break their formula and feature modeling greats like Lauren Hutton on the cover of their Age issue, etc and a good mix of past, present and future stars of modeling within its spreads - spice up the mix a bit.

Enough with the early Vogue years of Anna Wintour. Get some of her much earlier work when she worked at Penthouse Magazine in the 1970s. Somehow that job seems to be missing from Anna's resume. That's where the real gold is buried in this celeb.

I like her magazine! Thanks a lot for the post. Her last collection impressed me much, I even picked out some dress and want to place an order for me on the net. More over Anna always select the very best models for her collections! About Anna's first presentation I read in article ( downloaded at torrent search engine http://www.picktorrent.com ) and at the first sight her design of dresses drew attention.

>> Anna Wintour joined New York as fashion editor in 1981 and was there through 1983, when she left to become creative director at Vogue. A handful of the spreads she produced while at New York have turned up, and many show the seeds of Vogue's future. In one, there's a photograph of a model at a grocery, a concept that Wintour has used at Vogue since;  another called "Fur For All Seasons," is staunchly pro-fur — there's even a tiny credit: "None of the furs shown is on the endangered species list.  Still another is photographed by Peter Lindbergh, who Wintour has employed often for Vogue.
