>> For Chanel's 2012 Cruise collection, Karl Lagerfeld orchestrated an elaborate showing held in Antibes, France, which kicked off with an open-air, family-style dinner — attended by Vanessa Paradis, Stella Tennant, Anna Mouglalis, and Blake Lively, to name a few — and closed with a surprise concert by Bryan Ferry after the show. The collection itself took center stage: floral prints, embellished dropped-waist dresses, palazzo pants, languid gowns, shift dresses, and even thong boots, which Karl dubbed as “tango thongs.” All evoked a fresh vintage feel.
