For Fall 2013, Peter Som examined the intersection of New York style and Parisian chic — a concept that has informed countless designers, but got new life in Som's hands. Inspired by photographer Amy Arbus's pictures of downtown New Yorkers in the early '80s and the overall romance of the City of Light, Som pulled together painterly polka dots, floral prints with blooms edged in acidic shades of red and yellow, leopard, sequins, and fur.
