"Not to put too fine a point on it," wrote critic Sarah Mower in her review of Marc Jacobs's Fall 2010 collection for Louis Vuitton, "this was one fashion show heterosexual men are going to understand."

Mower was referring to the extra focus Jacobs put on the natural curves of women's bodies in this collection, using plunging necklines or corsetry techniques to accentuate his model's bosoms, hips, and waistlines.

"Designers are always talking about how they design for women, and then you look at our runways and there no girls over 20," Jacobs told The Guardian. "This time, I set out to cast a variety of sexy women — younger, older, thin, voluptuous, from every ethnic background."

That casting included supermodels like Laetitia Casta, Elle Macpherson, and Karolina Kurkova, all at left, whose legendary curves had in previous years kept them off runways in favor of pin-thin models.
