Milan Fashion Week: Spring 2010 Schedule Finalized
by coutorture 0
Originally planned for September 23-30, designers showing spring 2010 collections in Milan are now highly concentrated into four days beginning September 24 through September 27. Both Fendi and Dolce & Gabbana will be showing off calendar (the former at 11am and the later at 1pm both on Sept. 27) after agreements could not be made with the Italian Chamber of Fashion. Most of Milan will be shown on Sept. 25 and 26—including Gianfranco Ferré, Versace, Jil Sander, Emporio Armani and Gucci.
The schedule was recently adjusted for the Yom Kippur holiday, and—according to some industry insiders—as a way to reduce travel costs for international press, causing some Italian designers to fear a lack of focus on the Milan collections. [WWD]
