>> All 46 looks from Marc Jacobs's Spring 2012 collection were stolen in transit from Paris to London for a press day. The brand's PR team wrote in an email: "Dear all, The Marc Jacobs PR team is sorry to inform you that our press day tomorrow in the Marc Jacobs store is canceled, due to the theft of the Spring/Summer 2012 collections during its transfer from Paris." [Telegraph UK]
UPDATE: Scotland Yard has confirmed that it is investigating the theft of $65,000 worth of "clothing, bags, and shoes." A person familiar with the situation says that the collection stolen was comprised of “duplicate samples, in Europe for press days ... The collection as shown in New York is safe, and the red carpets won’t be missing Marc Jacobs this season.” [NY Times]
Marc Jacobs is offering a reward, according to its Twitter: "See any chic truck drivers cruising around Europe dressed in #SS12 Collection? Get a pic & call 212-343-0222. Reward."
