London Fashion Week: Penkov Spring 2009
by coutorture 0
Berlin based designer Bernadett Penkov showed, during London Fashion Week, a collection that was light and cool--perfect for the young fashionistas there to watch the show. It was similar in aesthetic to brands like United Bamboo, Karen Walker, and Preen where chic boyish separates and ultra-feminine dresses made for basics geared towards twenty-somethings. Our favorite pieces had nerdy oversized pockets sewn, for example, to a mini skirt or breezy blouse. It's what you might call classic cool, where the fashion forward elements never override the pretty ones.
