The design competition that helped launch the careers of Duckie Brown, Sari Gueron, Rodarte, Peter Som, Cloak, and Lulu Frost is poised to begin again, with submissions closing on March 17th. The Gen Art Styles International Design Competition focuses on young designers who have been operating a brand for seven years or less. In April, there will be a runway show featuring five finalist designers from each of the five categories--Women's RTW, Eveningwear, Avant-garde, Menswear, and Accessories--after which a finalist from each category will be chosen and awarded a $5,000 prize.
