It might not have graced every catwalk in Paris, but plaid appeared in many Fall 2009 collections nonetheless. In New York, where contemporary sportswear rules, there were a plethora of examples. From Marc by Marc Jacobs to Liz Claiborne, wilderness-ready plaids were a key component of the Fall 2009 dialogue. Otherwise, some high-end brands, like Marni and Comme des Garcons, also showed plaids while up-and-coming designers, like Minimarket from Stockholm, were fully-stocked with examples.
