This Sunday, Diane von Furstenberg is launching a Mother's Day "Love is Life" T-shirt to benefit the White Ribbon Alliance for Safe Motherhood. This most recent initiative in DVF's ongoing commitment to women's empowerment issues will generate funds for expecting mothers and newborns in developing countries.
The designer hosted a party last night in her Meatpacking District studio with Georgina Chapman, Liya Kebede, and Christy Turlington Burns to celebrate the partnership. During the event, Turlington Burns screened a preview of her film No Woman No Cry, a documentary examining the unnecessary deaths associated with childbirth.
On sale this Sunday in Diane von Furstenberg boutiques and online, the Mother's Day White Ribbon Alliance T-shirt is $145 well spent.
