Christian Cota Wins FGI Rising Star Award
by coutorture 0

Christian Cota, who showed his third collection in New York last September, has been honored with the 2009 FGI Rising Star Award (Jason Wu was the winner in 2008). The 26 year old Mexican-borne designer studied as a painter in Paris before coming to New York to pursue fashion design. Cota has quickly become known for his clean, expressionistic aesthetic. He will show his Fall 2009 collection during New York Fashion Week in less than two weeks.
