>> No matter what your clothes look like, when you share a studio space with cool fashion types like Julia Restoin-Roitfeld and jewelry designer Pamela Love, you're bound to get some buzz. Luckily for Frank Tell, he has talent enough that the buzz is just the appetizer. In a presentation that kicked off with cocktails in the lobby of the Tribeca Grand Hotel, a sea of people flooded through to check out Tell's new offering; typically, his mainstay is cocktail dresses, but with a mind for saleability he decided to go with 60 percent separates this season. Pamela Love contributed a vest of tiny metal swords, and since Swarovski couldn’t sponsor Tell this season, he recycled last season's sponsor offering, encrusting a sweater with the crystals — an echo that has resounded among many this season: just make it work.
