>> Ready for another wave of Anna Wintour rumors? Because here they come. Back in November, word went around that Anna might depart Vogue for a "cultural post of some sort for the Obama White House" — but it was promptly shot down by a rep: "She won’t be working for Obama in any way."
Now, the rumor has found new legs. According to "extremely insider rumors," Anna might be in the running for an official post in the Obama administration — say, an ambassadorship to England or France. She knows both places well enough, considering that she grew up in the UK and has visited France for plenty of couture viewings, but is an ambassadorship really what avid monetary support of the President-Elect will get her? It seems a little out of left field.

New Rumor: Ambassadress Anna Wintour?
No Anna! Don't leave Vogue!
there is no way that is happening. People become ambassador after working for the state department for many many years. She does not have any of the skills or qualifications to do that job, and money won't buy it for her. Just knowing some place because you have lived there or visited it many times does not mean you can become the U.S ambassador for that country. This is one of the most ridiculous rumors I have ever heard.
ok, well, yes aside from people who have worked in the state department there are people who are appointed to that position. But the Obama administration is not stupid enough to appoint Anna Wintour to that post...there is more to being an ambassador than organizing state dinners.

Fantasie
All of this sounds just TOO good to be true.
